By the nineteenth-century, however, Krimml had been discovered by the new wave of Romantic artists seeking beautiful and powerful natural environments as inspiration for their work. From this point on, tourists began to flock to this stunning location and today the waterfalls receive over 350,000 visitors each year between their opening months of April-October.
